Fans blast organizers, express displeasure on Comfort’s qualification in the Nigerian Idol

Planners of the singing reality competition, Nigerian Idol have been criticised by lovers of the reality show. This was was coming in after one of the contestants, Faith Jason was disqualified on Sunday and qualified Comfort in the Top Four.

Most of the fans blast the organizers’ system of keeping contestants on the sixth season of the show.

The contestant, Comfort, who is 18 years, has received lot of critics for her weekly performances which has been labeled not to be good.

Reactions of fans on the reality show YouTube channel shows the show is fast losing credibility as Comfort is said to have been getting sympathy votes from the public.

Bridget Ugochukwu wrote: “Like losing faith to comfort is really disheartening and disappointing cos some people are been sentimental with voting and not seeing through that the show is about talent and vocals!!” while Daniel Degema said, “If this is top 4 at the Nigerian Idol, then the quality is way too poor and needs to be questioned for a singing competition. So barbaric,”

“Please what is this, I never saw anything in this lady from the start. Her getting into the competition was all Seyi’s sentiments to begin with. Company of sentimental voters too. Absolutely no voice to be here, yes she has potential but this is not a way to encourage her. She should be sent home to learn and come back later. That’s encouragement. I can’t imagine that she’ll even post on her Instagram page “top 4 Nigerian idol”
