Gospel singer, Empress Gifty, believes that members of her genre lack what it takes to express their displeasure at issues they are confronted with in the Ghanaian music industry.

According to her, gospel musicians inability to open up on issues they are been confronted with always lands them on the wrong side.

“We have branded ourselves as ministers of the word of God so because of that even when cooperate bodies call us for events they tend to pay the secular artists better than they do for us.

“There is always a massive difference in the amount of monies paid after every performance we put out forgetting that we as gospel musicians play quality live bands than the secular artists,” she stated.

Several calls have been placed on the various event organizers across the country by the gospel fraternity to ensure equality when booking both genres for events.
