Nigerian music executive, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has debunked claims of signing Big Brother Naija Reality star, Whitemoney, to his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).
A while ago, report had it that Whitemoney has been signed to EME record label, and photos seemingly showing the moment the deal was signed and sealed went viral online.
Whitemoney also took to Twitter to share the photos with a suggestive caption that seemed like he was indeed an EME signee.
He wrote, “Now that we are in good hands, let the music flow.
“EGWU” & “YOU BAD” drops: 23/09/22
Are You Ready????”
At the time the news was shared online, it was met with massive reactions from Naysayers who suggested he should be signed as a Cook instead.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview on HotFM Lagos, Banky W revealed that he didn’t sign Whitemoney to his record label, and in fact, he doesn’t own a record label anymore because they rebranded as a media and marketing agency in 2017.
According to the music personality, he only handled an ambassadorial deal between Whitemoney and a company EME consults, nothing more.
