Nollywood actress, Nancy Isime, has admitted harbouring suicidal thoughts as a teenager due to depression.
The popular media personality, who recently turned 30, in a post on her Instagram page, was tearful as she expressed gratitude for her new age.
Over the weekend, the TV host held a star-studded ‘ice’ party tagged “Nancy Winter Wonderland.”
Several Nigerian celebrities graced the event and made sure her party was a memorable one as they bathed her with different currencies.
Isime shared a teary video while in bed and wrote: “This was me every time I picked up my phone on my birthday, I was surrounded by friends and when they turn to look at me, I was always in tears!
“I will be honest with you, I have looked forward to my 30th all my life but didn’t even imagine I’ll be in a space this amazing!
“As a child/teenager who suffered depression and was suicidal, I really did not think I’ll make it to 30.
“I always thought I would take my life before then so this is such a big deal to me!
“To be here, in good health, sound mind, surrounded by the most amazing people online and offline, experiencing love in its truest form?
“And yes I feel all my emotions, I cry when I’m happy, sad, overwhelmed, in love. It is the only way to live in every single moment.”
