Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has expressed her message to Governor Sanwo Olu and others who she feels are attempting to undermine her.
In a previous report, the businesswoman had criticized Governor Sanwo Olu and the entire Lagos state government for the exorbitant tax bill she received.
Sharing photos of the bill on her Instagram page moments ago, Iyabo Ojo wrote, “@jidesanwoolu @lagosstategovt, please explain how you come up with these outrageous personal income taxes that you send on a daily basis? After paying various taxes for my businesses, house, and more… you still present me with this enormous amount and give me only 7 days to pay, lol. Last time, you asked me to come to your office, I did, I explained and declared my earnings, but noooooooooooooo, you did not respond to my letter because you want me to pay an exorbitant amount that I do not have… should I resort to theft? I ask again, ‘How do you come up with such outrageous bills?'”
Taking to her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo made it clear that no one can break her as they did not contribute to her success.
She boldly declared her unwavering stance on her beliefs and refused to be pressured or shaken by tribal biases.
Iyabo Ojo expressed her desire for a better Nigeria and emphasized that she is unafraid to voice her opinions.
“I stand and re-stan obediently on my beliefs. I cannot be pressured or shaken. I will never bow down to tribal bigots… I want a better Nigeria, regardless of whose ego is bruised. We cannot all believe in the same thing. I see no tribe. I only see my country. I am Nigerian… I am not afraid of death, for it is inevitable. I will never be afraid to express my opinion, for it is my right… I have no enemies. We may not all share the same perspective, but you are not my enemy because, at the end of the day, whether good or bad, we are in this together. We are all citizens of Nigeria. I have empathy for my country, not just for personal gain. If after 8 years, Nigeria shows renewed hope, then my beliefs may change. But until then, I stand firmly by my convictions. If you did not make me, you cannot break me. You may take my body, but never my soul.”
