Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has revealed that he is not mentally stable and that he is undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Portable made this revelation via videos on Instagram while appealing to the Ogun state government and Nigerians, denying any wrongdoing and claiming he’s being targeted by evil individuals.

The embattled singer expressed his frustration and fear, stating that he’s being persecuted despite being a law-abiding citizen who makes a living from his music.

He emphasised that he’s not a thief or a killer and that he waits for his blessings while also blessing others.

The singer also revealed that he’s being intimidated by unknown persons who showed up at his house, ordering him to vacate.

Portable appealed to the government and the public to intervene in his case, stating that he’s afraid of being locked up and is currently experiencing physical pain.

Portable said: “Nigeria, this is when I need you people’s help. There’s no place like home, but ev!l people full home. Why only me? Why do I have issues in Nigeria? I do music for a living, I’m not a thief, I don’t kill people. I wait for my blessing. I bless people too. I don’t make trouble. People look for my trouble, I’m a superstar. God forgive me if I do any bad. After God, na government.

“They set me up with the government. I don’t have any issues with the government or police. Some people just came to my house, telling me to pack out. I’m not a criminal. I’m not feeling fine. And I’m afraid. I don’t want them to lock me up. I’m going through pain all over my body. I’m a Federal Government liability. I didn’t go to school, I’m a fashion designer.

“I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I’m a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients.

“I am from Abeokuta and they are taking care of me there. I am not a thief, I help people around me without even looking at their background.”
