Nandy who is a Tanzanian singer has joined Empawa, a company owned by a Nigerian artist, Mr. Eazi.
Mr. Eazi in an Instagram post welcomed Nandy to Empawa and officially introduced her as a new member of the company.
With the post, Mr. Eazi shared a photo of himself with Nandy, as well as another photo of Nandy’s song ‘I’m used to you’.
According to a post by Mr. Eazi, Empawa was involved in the production and distribution of the song ‘Nimekuzoea’.
“Welcome @officialnandy to The emPawa Family & Big Congratulations !!! We Just Getting Started,” Mr. Eazi wrote online.
Nandy last week traveled to Ghana where she met Mr Eazi. He later published a photo showing him in the studio with music producer Kimambo Beats. Nandy’s post revealed that she had gone to Ghana for a musical career.
Empawa Company is not a label for recording songs as many think. Empawa is involved in the distribution of dance as well as increasing the market for artists. Empawa thus works with many artists including those who are free and those who are signed to various labels. Nandy’s joining the company is a great achievement for Mr Eazi as Nandy is one of the most influential female artists not only in Tanzania but in East Africa as a whole.
