Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Tuesday has struck out a charge against celebrity bartender, Paschal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest over alleged abuse of the naira.

The judge struck out the charge following the adoption of terms of settlement between Cubana Chief Priest and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The Nigerian socialite shared the news on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

He wrote: ‘’Thank You God As My Case Is Struck Out, CP The Defendant Is Cautioned & Discharged. Thank You @officialefcc & My Legal Team Being Headed By Chikaosolu Ojukwu Senior Advocate Of 🇳🇬 Now Let’s Get Straight To The Venue For #ChiVido2024 With Composure & Steeze. NB: Pls Don’t Mutilate Naira You If There Be Need Better Do It In Dollars. #CpNoSmall”

It would be recalled that on April 17, the EFCC arraigned Cubana Chief Priest before the court on a three-count charge of allegedly spraying and tampering with Naira notes during a social event at the Eko hotel in Lagos.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N10m with two responsible sureties in like sum each.

His counsel later explored out-of-court settlement with the anti-graft agency.
