Nigerian singer, Blackface of defunct Plantashun Boiz, has called out music superstars, Burna Boy and Wizkid, for allegedly sampling his song without giving him credit.
According to the post he shared on his Instagram page, Blackface accused the singers of sampling his song ‘Twist and Turn’ in their featured song ‘Ginger’, off Wizkid’s 2020 album, Made in Lagos.
While sharing a video snippet of the song he claimed they copied, Blackface said they should have asked for permission before sampling his music.
However, he urged Wizkid and Burna Boy to contact him privately.
He wrote,
“Anything wrong in asking for permission before you guys decide to sample my music ? Sampling is wrong when you don’t ask for permission before you do such @wizkidayo @burnaboygram I still dey wait make una call me.
These boys go dey sample me sample me ,when I talk (you know who ) go try to trample me .. This right here is way out of bounds boys…make Una Sha call me ! 📞🖤✌️🎵”
