Media personality, Toke Makinwa has pleaded with God to lighten the burden of testing in her life, as she has experienced disappointment.
She expressed this plea by sharing a clip from the movie “Evan Almighty” on her social media, in which Morgan Freeman, portraying God, imparts wisdom about life and prayer.
In the clip, Freeman’s character asks thought-provoking questions: “Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If they pray for courage, does God give them courage, or does he give them opportunities to be courageous?”
In response to the clip, Toke added her own comment, saying, “Hey God, please take it easy on the tests. Some of us have experienced disappointment. Please grant us our requests, Lord.”
