Kean finds his feet
Moise Kean endured a difficult debut campaign in England.
The former Juventus prodigy scored just twice in the Premier League last term, whilst completing 90 minutes just once in the competition.
So, the news that Everton had opted to loan Kean out for the 2020/21 campaign shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise.
What was somewhat surprising, however, was the Italian’s destination – Kean was snapped up by Ligue 1 champions and last season’s Champions League finalists, PSG.
With the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Mauro Icardi amongst their ranks, on the face of it, it appeared unlikely that Kean was set to be afforded much of an increase in game-time.
However, during the early stages of the campaign at least, such assumptions have proven off the mark.
In fact, Kean has been in sensational form for PSG, notching five goals and one assist in seven outings across all competitions.
The latest of these strikes came over the weekend, as PSG but three past Stade Rennais:

Everton not planning to recall Kean
With Kean in such fine form, and Everton struggling without the suspended Richarlison, some of the Toffees’ fanbase may have been hoping to see the 20-year-old recalled from his loan in January.
However, despite his sensational start to life with PSG, it doesn’t look as though Kean will be returning to Merseyside anytime soon.
According to a report from the Athletic on Monday, the intention at Goodison Park is to allow Kean to complete the season in France, in order to secure significant game-time and positive exposure:

▪️ Jones, Alonso and Saliba: loan market set to thrive in January
▪️ Neutral venues for PL matches back on the agenda
