The African Kids Fashion Week, an event created to showcase the best of African fashion for children, with this year edition themed the ‘SHOWCASE’’ is set to give African kids the platform to showcase the best of African Fashion Inspired by the rich and diverse Africa culture with traditional fabrics in a creative and stylish way.
The competition this year will be held virtually, where contestants with the highest likes and engagement online will become the African Kids Fashion Week (The Showcase) winner.
This event gives children between the ages of 4 to 12 years the opportunity to showcase the best of African Fashion Inspired by the rich and diverse culture in Africa.
Entry opens from 9th August till 22nd August 2020, contestant will showcase their collections and voting starts from the 23rd of August and ends 29th August 2020. (Voting platform: Instagram.@africankidsfashionweek).
Speaking with Creative director of the project , Mr Ajibola Akande says: “This years’ edition The Showcase aims to build the attitude and develop personality for the young African to love and embrace African attires.
The organisation urge parents/Guardian to dress their children in African age appropriate styles, we want kids to be kids, Kids with adult style and costumes will be disqualified.
Winner is set to win lots of amazing prizes which includes a whooping cash prize of N100,000, winner becomes the 2020 African kids Ambassador Features on top National Newspapers and Media Outlets across the country .
