Nigeria has confirmed 459 cases of the deadly coronavirus which is also known as COVID-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the cases on Sunday night via its official website.
The NCDC also stated that 30 COVID related deaths were recorded in the country
NCDC noted that the 459 new cases are reported from 19 States- “Lagos (185), Abia (38), Oyo (38), Akwa Ibom (33), Cross River (33), Osun (24), Ekiti (23), Benue (15), Kwara (14), Kano (12), Delta (10), FCT (10), Edo (9), Kaduna (5), Ogun (3), Kastina (2), Nasarawa (2), Rivers (2), and Bayelsa (1)“
“Today’s report includes: Backlog of 23 deaths reported for Lagos State for 3rd September 2021 Two States with zero cases reported: Plateau, and Sokoto,” the NCDC explained.
These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 195,511 with 184,529 discharged and 2,552 deaths.
