The eNaira Speed Wallet application is back on Google Play Store 24 hours after its sudden disappearance.
It was gathered that the app went missing on Wednesday from the Google Store after its launch on Monday.
It met with criticism as users struggled to link their emails and BVNs.
Before it went offline, the app had been downloaded by over 100,000 persons.
According to the CBN spokesperson, Mr Osita Nwanisobi, the app went missing because of an upgrade.
He stated, “There is an upgrade going on at the moment by Google; try in the next few hours.”
The app was however, reportedly restored on Thursday at about 1pm.
A mobile developer told PUNCH that the app could have gone missing from the store for a number of reasons.
According to the developer, it could also be because the app had flouted one of Google’s policies or because the developers took it down.
From the latest update available on the Google Play Store on Thursday, the app recorded over 100,00 downloads.
