Ethiopian Ambassador, Yibeltal Ayimiro Alemu, has confirmed that there have been an attack to the Sudanese capital embassy with heavy weapons.
As of the time of this report, there is no casualties in the attack, but the embassy’s building was partially damaged, Yibeltal Ayimiro Alemu, the Ethiopian ambassador to Sudan, said.
The Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which has been fighting the army since 15 April, has blamed the military for the attack.
The Sudanese army has not commented on the Tuesday attack.
Although, this is not the first time the Ethiopian embassy in Khartoum has been attacked.
An employee of the Ethiopian embassy in Sudan said that the embassy was attacked by air strike three weeks ago wounding a security guard. It also shattered windows of the embassy’s building.
More than 5,000 people have died in the conflict and five million others displaced, according to the UN.
