Global tech giants like Google, HUAWEI, Facebook and Microsoft have revealed intentions to partner with the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Nigeria’s tech ecosystem is set to become the most viable in Africa as these plans seek to benefit the country and Nigerians specifically the youth.

Microsoft is currently offering their support for the Digital Transformation pillar of the Federal Government’s Economic Sustainability Plan.

After the establishment of the technology company’s African Technology Development Centre in 2020, this will be a continuation of investments in Nigeria.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, noted in an online meeting with Microsoft Corporation’s team led by its president, Brad Smith, that the company’s interest in Nigeria was an embraced endeavor and could be used to engage the youths productively.

He also noted that in efforts of the government to enhance the tech ecosystem there is a digital innovation initiative being put in place in hopes to build a foundation for doing better in the digital space than what is currently being done.
