The governor stated that his administration remains determined to deliver good governance to the people of the state till the end of his tenure.

Makinde, who titled the 2023 budget “A Budget for Sustainable Development,” explained that the government’s aim was to prioritise the completion of ongoing capital projects.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Taiwo Adisa, quoted the governor as saying in a statement that his administration had succeeded in doubling the budget performance of the state since it took office in 2019.

According to the Governor, N154,348,866,965.62 has been proposed as capital expenditure, representing 49.79 percent of the total budget proposal, while the proposed recurrent expenditure, which stands at 50.23 percent amounts to N155,651,133,034.38.

“So, with this budget, we are moving from accelerated to sustainable development.
