President Salva Kiir has vowed that he will personally supervise the disarmament of civilians in Warrap State.

He added that he will not allow his soldiers to continue dying in Warrap State because of the intercommunal fighting among civilians.

Kiir recalled that he fought the Sudanese regimes that used heavy weapons, and that he will not be overwhelmed by confronting civilians who carry weapons.

“I do not want any soldier to die in Warrap State again, and I will not let civilians in Warrap carry weapons,” Kiir said.

“I will disarm the civilians, and if they want to fight with me, I am ready to fight with them, and I will be the commander who will give orders, there is no problem,” Kiir said.
