A 38 year old man identified as Uchenna Tobias has been alleged to have raped his three daughters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

An arrest was made by the Rivers State Police Command on Wednesday, September 9 after the case was reported by the suspect’s wife.

According to Madam Tobias, she made a report to the police station after she discovered that her five-year old daughter had swollen private parts and took further action to visit the hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled.

She explained that this was not the first time her husband will be defiling the girls. She narrated how she caught him in the act twice.

In her words, “In 2012, when my first daughter was 2 years old in the village, I caught my husband fingering her. Also, in 2017, when my second daughter turned 2 years old he did the same thing to her.”

She said that on the first occasion, she was beaten up and wrongly accused of trying to spoil the family’s name when she went to report him his relatives; while on the second occasion, her husband beat her up and threatened to throw her off the storey building they were residing.

She recounted the incidence which made her report her husband’s act to the police,
“In May this year, I went to the market and before I returned, my neighbor, who was helping my older daughter to bathe her five-year old sister discovered that my little daughter was injured in her private parts and she advised me to investigate.”

She explained that her daughter was reluctant at first to disclose to her the person who defiled her. However, after flogging her, the girl screamed that it was her daddy.

She affirmed that her husband should be prosecuted for her safety and that of her children.
“If he is released again, I do not know what he might do to the children and I.”
