Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court has sentenced a 24-year-old man, Thabo Tomanyane, to 15 years in prison for the murder of his friend over R10.
According to police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli, the incident took place in September 2022 when Tomanyane went to his friend’s house in Kgotsong Section.
Tomanyane got into an argument with his friend because he owed him R10 and ended up stabbing him six times in the chest and back, resulting in his death.
Tomanyane was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment.
