President Salva Kiir Mayardit has made changes to his administration by firing the Executive Director in his office, according to a presidential decree read on South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation (SSBC).
The decree did not explain the reasons behind the move, but James Deng Wal has been relieved of his duties and replaced by Kiir Yor Lual.
Lual previously served as the county commissioner in Aweil East County in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, nominated by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party.
It is still unknown who will take over as the new commissioner for Aweil East County.
