The Swedish government announced its plan to purchase at least 40,000 tons of Ukrainian grain to support the humanitarian operations of the UN.
This move is said to be to help countries where the risk of famine is currently at its highest, such as Ethiopia, Yemen and Afghanistan.
It was gathered that the transport and purchase of the Ukrainian wheat will aid the relief plan of the World Food Programme (WFP).
