Coach Adedeji Adeyemi Anthony, who is currently based in Switzerland where he is practicing his coaching job has advised Austin Eguavoen to resign as NFF Technical Director before taking Super Eagles job as Head Coach .
The former Stationery Stores FC player praised NFF for appointing Austin Eguavoen as the coach.
He added the NFF took the right step by not wasting time before taking the decision.
“The Nigeria Football Federation has taken the right step by giving Austin Eguavoen the opportunity to lead the Super Eagles once again. However, for him to concentrate, he should resign as the Technical Director of the NFF.” Adeyemi said on Sports program, Sports Gallery.
This appointment is a right step in the right direction, particularly at a time the team is having African Nations Cup qualifier games, Eguavoen knew the players so well, that alone is an advantage rather than looking for a coach who starts from the scratch.
