Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have stormed the Lagos Island in Lagos state.
Videos from the shooting reveals that the incident happened this morning in Lagos Island between thugs and officials of the NDLEA.
Information had it that the operatives of NDLEA had come to arrest and seize hard drugs when they were attacked by Oshodi Peti thugs.
Many gunshots rang out as the NDLEA operatives battled to bring order to the area.
It was however not confirmed yet the number of lives rumoured to be lost during the shooting.
News Africa had earlier reported that Naira Marley signed artistes, Zinoleesky and Mohbad were arrested by NDLEA for having hard drugs in possession.
However, after their release, some Nigerians have questioned why the drug law enforcement agency mishandle and arrested without a warrant.
Femi Babafemi, who is the Public Relations Officer of the agency, however said that the ID card of an NDLEA agent also serves as an warrant for the NDLEA officials to arrest anyone in possession of hard drug.
