Gareth Bale among Tottenham trio likely to miss Fulham tie/ Game in doubt due to positive Covid-19 tests

Tottenham will return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening.

The Lilywhites are set to play host to Fulham, aiming to put an end to their poor recent run of form.

Spurs, on the back of a hugely promising couple of months, have since failed to win any of their last four league outings.

This run has seen Jose Mourinho’s men slip out of the English top-flight’s top-four, and even further off the pace of table-toppers Liverpool.

As for Fulham, they remain in the relegation zone, despite having shown signs of improvement of late, with four straight draws.

Bale, Lucas & Vinicius expected to miss out

Ahead of his side’s meeting with Fulham, Jose Mourinho today cast doubt over the potential involvement of a number of his players.

First, the Portuguese confirmed that Gareth Bale is certain to miss out, with a spell of several weeks out of action on the cards for the Real Madrid loanee.

And, adding to Spurs’ woes out wide have been further issues picked up by both Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius:

“I wouldn’t say [Bale’s injury] serious but I’d say a few weeks.

“I don’t expect him to be fit and also I have my doubts that Lucas and Vinicius can be fit for Fulham.”

Concerningly, it has also been reported this evening that Wednesday’s London derby clash has been thrown into serious doubt, amid a number of positive Covid-19 tests in Scott Parker’s squad.

This, of course, comes just a day after Everton saw their meeting with Manchester City postponed for the same reason.
