Gareth Bale reportedly set to make first appearance back at Tottenham vs West Ham

Bale returns

Tottenham had a pretty solid transfer window overall.

Spurs would sign five players in total, strengthening in areas of their squad that have been a source of concern for some time – such as up top, where Harry Kane had long stood as the Lilywhite’s only natural centre-forward.

However, though it was not really a priority position, the Tottenham faithful were no doubt most pleased they were able to re-sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.

The Welshman, of course, made a name for himself with Spurs before eventually joining Los Blancos in 2013 for what was, at the time, a world-record fee.

Now, after several pretty successful years in Madrid, Bale has returned to his former club on a season-long loan, which is said to have cost Spurs £9m.

Bale to re-debut vs West Ham

However, despite returning to England several weeks ago, Bale is yet to make an appearance for the north Londoners this season.

The reason for this being that he re-joined Tottenham nursing an injury he picked up on international duty.

However, the wait to see Bale back plying his trade in the Premier League does look to be over.

When the current international break draws to a close, Spurs are set to welcome West Ham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 18th.

And it is in this clash, according to the Telegraph, when Bale will finally make his first appearance back in a Tottenham shirt:
