The latest speculation in the English media suggests that Jesse Lingard is ready to make use of the remainder of Manchester United’s Europa League campaign to remind potential suitors of his talents.

United down Leicester

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men finished out their Premier League campaign this past weekend, with a trip to Leicester City.

The matchup of course came as a crucial one for both sides, who headed into proceedings battling it out for a top-4 berth.

When all was said and done at the King Power, though, it was the visitors who emerged victorious, to book their spot in next season’s Champions League.

After Bruno Fernandes put United in front from the penalty spot 20 minutes from time, substitute Jesse Lingard went on to add a late, late 2nd, making sure of all 3 points for the Red Devils.

Lingard to move on?

As outlined above, however, one of United’s goalscorers at the King Power on Sunday does not appear to be looking towards helping his side navigate their way through Europe’s premiere club competition next season.

Instead, he is now eyeing a move away from Old Trafford.

As per a report from Tom Roddy of the Times, Jesse Lingard is hopeful of being handed the chance to shine during the remainder of the Reds’ Europa League campaign, set to get back underway next week.

This comes with the 27-year-old keen to put himself in the shop window, amid rumoured interest from all of Newcastle United, AS Roma and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Though it is added that Lingard is not actively ‘pushing’ for a transfer, ‘the popular academy product is likely to leave Old Trafford’.
