Karim Benzema allegedly videoed telling Ferland Mendy not to pass to Vinicius during half-time of Real Madrid vs Gladbach

Madrid fight back

Real Madrid returned to European action on Tuesday evening in search of a bounce back result.

Los Blancos would, of course, emerge from the weekend’s La Liga action with a key victory over Barcelona.

But a few days prior, Madrid were handed a rather shocking 3-2 defeat vs Shakhtar in the Champions League.

This meant that the Spanish champions were actually sat bottom of Group B when they kicked off against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday.

And after Marcus Thurman netted his second of the evening with 58 minutes gone at Borussia-Park, Zinedine Zidane’s side looked to be staring another rather embarrassing European defeat in the face.

However, late, late strikes from Karim Benzema and Casemiro ensured that Real were able to salvage a point on the day.

Karim Benzema tells Ferland Mendy not to pass to Vinicius Junior

After netting in the 87th minute on Tuesday, Benzema will no doubt have been receiving plaudits from his teammates and fans alike.

However, in the aftermath of the tie, a rather interesting video has emerged online concerning the Frenchman which will probably cause issues with at least one of his teammates.

The video was posted by French outlet RMC Sport and shows Karim Benzema in conversation with fellow countryman Ferland Mendy during half-time of Tuesday’s Champions League tie.

And in the video, the Real Madrid hitman appears to be telling the left-back not to pass to their teammate, Vinicius Junior, who was playing on the left-wing in front of Mendy:
