NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 17 – Two police officers have been arrested after they were caught slaughtering a stolen cow.
According to a police report, a resident alerted authorities after discovering that her cows were missing.
The resident later learned that a cow had been slaughtered near the Kaptagat police station.
“The scene was visited by SCPC Keiyo, SCCIO Keiyo South, and the OCS Kaptagat. The scene was secured, processed, and documented accordingly,” the report read in part. “However, the situation was rowdy but contained by area MCA.”
The suspects fled the scene after realizing an angry crowd approaching.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Keiyo South is pursuing other suspects who are still at large.
