A recent report has credited Liverpool with an interest in Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.
Bissouma’s Brighton stint
Bissouma joined Brighton in the summer of 2018, from French outfit Lille.
The Seagulls are understood to have paid around £15m to bring the midfielder to England.
Bissouma has since gone on to notch 69 appearances across all competitions for Graham Potter’s side.
Across these outings, the 24-year-old has provided three goals and one assist.
And, despite Brighton’s recent struggles, Bissouma has enjoyed a solid start to the current campaign.
In turn, here at 101, we have provided some tactical insight into the Malian’s game, and explained why he could play a key role in solving Arsenal’s midfield woes.

Liverpool linked with Bissouma
However, as mentioned above, it is another Premier League giant who are now said to be expressing an interest in the Brighton standout.
As per a recent report from ESPN, Bissouma is being closely followed by Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.
It is claimed that Jurgen Klopp is tracking the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman has of course been integral to Liverpool’s success over recent years. However, his contract is set to expire in the summer, and no fresh terms have been agreed as of yet.
As a result, should no extension be agreed upon over the weeks ahead, Wijnaldum will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign side from January 1st.
ESPN add that Bissouma is likely to be valued at around £30m.
