Blackburn Rovers’ victory over QPR on Saturday saw Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott dazzle once again, as the attacker’s stock continues to reach new heights.

Reds prodigy

17-year-old Elliott has of course long been viewed as one of English football’s standout talents.

The 2018/19 campaign, for example, saw the wide-man become the youngest player to ever feature in the Premier League.

On the back of his move to Liverpool last summer, however, Elliott unsurprisingly struggled for senior game-time, amid a battle for minutes with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

As such, it came as little surprise to see the prodigious teen farmed out on loan earlier this month, to get his development back on track.

Elliott made the move to the Championship, with Blackburn Rovers.

And to say that the wide-man has since gone on to impress would be putting it lightly.

Despite his tender years, Elliott has not looked at all out of place amongst the talent in England’s 2nd-tier, with recent weeks having seen the Liverpool loanee go on to establish himself as a key cog in Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn side.

He has started and completed 90 minutes in all of Rovers’ last 6 Championship outings, notching a goal and 3 assists along the way.

All-round performer

Elliott’s latest starring display, meanwhile, came on Saturday.

Blackburn welcomed QPR to Ewood Park, for the club’s final outing before the commencement of the international break.

The hosts went on to bag all 3 points, courtesy of a 3-1 win. And Elliott was once again central, showcasing both his ability going forward, and willingness to stick a foot in when required.

The youngster’s highlight moment came a little over 15 minutes from time, when, with his side in search of a key go-ahead strike, Elliott split the QPR backline with a wonderful through-ball, setting Adam Armstrong clear to slot home.

On the back of his dazzling performance yesterday, meanwhile, a statistic highlighting just how impressive Elliott has been thus far during his Blackburn stint has been forthcoming online.

As per the reliable SofaScore, to this point in the campaign, no Championship player has secured a better average match rating than the 17-year-old’s 7.57.

Interestingly, trailing only Elliott in 2nd is another Liverpool loanee, in the form of Harry Wilson:
