Liverpool’s win over Crystal Palace this afternoon saw the Reds set a new Premier League assist benchmark.

Reds run riot

Jurgen Klopp’s men made the trip to Selhurst Park a short time ago, for their latest league outing.

The Merseysiders of course headed into proceedings with their tails up, having established firm control of the title race during the week.

A last-gasp win over Tottenham saw Liverpool break their tie with Jose Mourinho’s men atop the English top-flight, moving 3 points clear of the chasing pack.

And, when all was said and done in the English capital this afternoon, the champions only extended their advantage over the likes of Spurs and Chelsea.

A scintillating showing eventually saw the visitors depart Selhurst with all 3 points, courtesy of a staggering 7-0 win.

Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino (2), Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah (2) were all on target, amid a remarkable display of ruthless finishing.

As outlined above, though, not only did Liverpool’s latest win come as a key one in their efforts to create some space atop the Premier League table, but it also marked a significant one in the history books of the Premier League.

Incredibly, all 7 of the Reds’ goals today were set up by different players.

This marks the first time in Premier League history that any team have managed such a feat during a single outing:

Another noteworthy statistic to have emerged this afternoon is that:
