Liverpool willing to sell Rhian Brewster ‘if offer is right’

Brewster misses out vs Leeds

Rhian Brewster has been on Liverpool’s books since 2015, after joining from Chelsea’s academy.

The 20-year-old went on to impress as part of the Reds’ youth setup, especially for their under-23 side.

However, Brewster has, so far, struggled to break into the club’s first-team setup.

To aid his development, Liverpool sent the Englishman out on loan for the second half of the 2019/20 campaign, when he joined Championship outfit Swansea.

And to say that Brewster went on to take advantage of this chance to shine would be something of an understatement.

All told, in 20 Championship outings for the Welsh outfit, the attacker managed to notch 10 goals – playing a key role in Swansea securing a play-off spot.

Brewster has since returned to his parent club, though, and impressed once again during a handful of displays in a very brief pre-season this summer.

Liverpool open to selling Brewster

Liverpool, of course, kicked off the club’s 2020/21 Premier League campaign on Saturday, versus Leeds.

And, despite his impressive form for Swansea and in pre-season, Brewster was completely omitted from the Reds’ matchday squad.

Now, less than 24 hours later, rumours of a permanent Anfield exit for the young hitman have begun to surface online.

As per Alan Nixon of the Sun, Liverpool are willing to sell Brewster for the right price, to raise funds ahead of an assault for Watford’s Ismaila Sarr.

In terms of potential suitors for Brewster, Sheffield United are understood to have held meetings with the forward’s representatives, whilst Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are ‘still active’ in the hunt for the Liverpool man:
