Man United’s Marcus Rashford should be ‘fully fit’ for the West Brom game

Man United vs West Brom

Manchester United are set to return to action on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils’ first game post-international break will see them play host to West Brom at 8 pm UK time on the 21st.

United head into the tie on the back of a pretty poor start to the campaign.

Yes, they did manage to pick up solid wins over PSG and RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

But Man United have also lost to Istanbul Basaksehir in Europe whilst falling to defeat in three of their seven league ties already this term.

Such poor form has put United down to 14th in the table, though they do have a game in hand on the majority of sides around them.

As for West Brom, they are currently the lowest scorers in the league and have failed to pick up a single win in 2020/21.

Rashford fit enough to face West Brom

Ahead of the West Brom tie, Man United fans were no doubt sweating over the fitness of Marcus Rashford.

The forward was supposed to link up with England for the latest international break, but missed out due to an injury he picked up vs Everton:

However, Rashford’s injury doesn’t appear to have been too serious.

According to Laurie Whitwell of the Athletic, speaking on the latest edition of the Talk of the Devils podcast, Rashford should be fully fit for the West Brom game:

I think the shoulder issue that forced him off at the end of the game against Everton was always likely to be a difficult one to manage during the international break. So, the withdrawal didn’t surprise me so much. But I do feel like with a couple of weeks off, he should be fully fit for the West Brom game.
