Twenty-Two People Killed in Road Accidents in Morocco's Urban Areas Last Week

These accidents were mainly ascribed to non-respect of priority, excessive speeding, non-control of vehicles and pedestrian and driver errors, the source pointed out in a statement on Tuesday.

A total of 37,277 traffic tickets were issued by the police during the same week.

The sum of fines paid by road traffic violators stood at around 6,658,575 dirhams, the same source said.

Twenty-two people were killed and 2,253 were injured, including 79 seriously, in 1,690 road accidents that occurred in urban areas on September 6-12, National Police (DGSN) said.
