Norwich City manager Daniel Farke was this evening quick to shut down speculation linking star man Emi Buendia with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal.

Norwich march on

The Canaries returned to action a short time ago, in a Championship meeting with Barnsley at Carrow Road.

Norwich entered proceedings hoping to extend their advantage over the chasing pack atop the English 2nd-tier, having enjoyed a fine campaign to date.

And, when all was said and done in Norfolk, this is precisely what the hosts managed.

A solitary goal, notched by Emi Buendia, eventually proved enough to secure all 3 points.

After being played in courtesy of a flighted ball to the edge of the Barnsley box, the Argentine showcased his wonderful technique with a first-time volleyed finish into the far bottom corner.

‘Not worried’

Buendia’s latest strike came just hours after the gifted 24-year-old was rewarded for his fine recent form, with the award for the Norwich City Player of the Month:

Such impressive exploits, meanwhile, have certainly not gone unnoticed amongst the giants of English football.

Recent weeks have of course seen Buendia persistently linked with a move back to the top-flight, with Arsenal.

The Gunners have majorly struggled for creativity to this point in the campaign, with Norwich’s star man, in turn, having been tipped as a potential solution to such woes.

As outlined above, however, if the latest comments on the part of Canaries boss Daniel Farke are anything to go by, then the Arsenal faithful need not get their hopes up, at least for the time being.

Speaking on the back of his side’s downing of Barnsley, Farke insisted that Buendia is fully content at Carrow Road, with his manager ‘not worried’ by the rampant speculation surrounding the Argentine:
