President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta led the nation at the second National Prayer Service on Huduma Day.
The inter-faith service held at State House, Nairobi on Saturday was presided over by a cross-section of religious leaders.
Religious leaders delivered scripture readings, offered sermons and led in thematic intercessory prayers.
They covered thanksgiving, repentance and forgiveness, national healing and restoration, national aspirations, and leadership and family.
President Kenyatta also delivered his message of national thanksgiving.
The inter-faith prayer service was followed by President of the United Republic of Tanzania John Pombe Magufuli.
In a message delivered to President Kenyatta, he expressed Tanzania’s solidarity with Kenyans as they pray for the wellbeing of their country.
