Leaders allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have asked the Jubilee leader to crack the whip on those undermining him and his government.

Speaking at the funeral of Hannah Mudavadi on Saturday, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala asked Uhuru to act firmly in order to secure his legacy.

“Your legacy is in uniting Kenyans, anyone who is undermining this is by so doing undermining the will of Kenyans,” Malala said.

The legislator lauded the Uhuru-Raila handshake saying it had brought about the much-needed peace and unity in the country.

He  also seized the moment to drum up support ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi who previously announced his bid for the country’s top job.

“President Uhuru and Raila you have the honour of deciding who to leave the leadership of this country to, you have a debt to pay, Musalia supported you in the past, the safest pair of hands in this country are Musalia Miudavadi’s hands” Senator Malala said.

Senator Malala also delved into Senator Irungu Kangata BBI letter gaffe; asking the Senate Majority Chief Whip to apologise.

“Today, I expect Kangata will apologise for the letter that he wrote to President Uhuru, Kangata, lets respect the president..” he added.

Siaya Senator James Orengo who was in attendance also seized the moment to attack DP Ruto allies accused of undermining the president, asking Uhuru to put his house in order even if it includes reorganizing the cabinet

“Mr. President you can ask Mudavadi what can I do to help the economy, you can ask Kalonzo to help with bringing peace in the neighborhood, that is what we should be talking about not 2022,” Senator Orengo said.
