Man United edge past Wolves

Manchester United faced off with Wolves on Tuesday evening.

The Red Devils headed into the tie in solid form, going unbeaten in their last five league outings.

However, United haven’t been great at home in the Premier League this term, barring their 6-1 drubbing of Leeds recently of course.

And in truth, Man United were not great against Wolves, though they still eventually managed to come away with a key 1-0 win thanks to an injury-time strike from Marcus Rashford:

Said result has moved Man United up into 2nd place in the English top-flight, just two points adrift of table-topping Liverpool.

They are also a point above 3rd-place Leicester, whom they have a game in hand on.

As a result, United fans will no doubt believe they are currently in the 2020/21 PL title race.

However, following the win over Wolves, Solskjaer has moved to temper expectations when it comes to a title challenge, stating there can be no race after just 15 games:

“There is no title race after 15 games. You can lose the chance of being in a race. But play another 15, get to 30, then maybe we can start talking about a title race. March, April. But the belief is there. We have shown we can win away anywhere.”
