Late Friday evening, police were informed of a woman’s body near the Stadium Swimming Pool on the corner of Park Road and First Avenue in Willows, Bloemfontein.

Officials were dispatched to investigate and found the woman’s lifeless body at the scene. She had two stab wounds and is believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30.
Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said the deceased “was wearing black pair of jeans, a black hoodie [underneath] a black-and-red jean jacket, and Nike sneakers”.
In addition, a Capitec bank card and house keys with an orange holder were found inside her pockets. No form of identification could be found.
Authorities are therefore calling on members of the community to assist in “looking for the family, relatives or friends of [the] African female”.

Murder in Gqeberha
In an unrelated case, officials are seeking assistance in establishing the motive behind the fatal shooting of a man at a tavern in NU 1 in Motherwell, Gqeberha on 3 September 2021.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu said police responded to a complaint of a body at the Motherwell Health Centre shortly after 7 pm on Friday.
Naidu said it is further alleged “the deceased – Thabo Mosemola from Motherwell – was dropped off at the health centre by a person” who is known to the police.
The person told medical staff Mosemola was shot at a tavern, and that he sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his neck.
