South Africa Football Association under Danny Jordan has signed a lucrative deal with the players of Bafana Bafana ahead of their participation in the African Cup Nations.
According to the new deal signed on Monday morning, the entire team of Bafana Bafana will share $7 million (R130 million)
With 23 players, it means each player will earn R5.6 million ($305,999.98) each.
Bafana Bafana, champions in 1996 and runners in 1998 will battle group E opponents Mali, Namibia and Tunisia.
The cash reward is equivalent to what the African soccer governing body is offering for the winner of the competition.
