The interim coach of the Elephant of Coted’Ivoire Emerson Fae has acknowledged the strength of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Fae was elevated to the interim manager of the team after Jean Louis Gasset was sacked following the embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Equatorial Guinea.
Since his appointment, the Elephant has revitalised their hope of winning the African Cup of Nations on home soil.
While speaking to Oma Sports TV, Fae recognised the Super Eagles’ defensive solidity and team spirit as the main strength of the Nigerians.
” We have learned a lot since their match against us that they have a defensive solidity and they ( Nigeria) have a team a very united team.
They defend and attack together and it’s the solidarity that makes that, of course with the individual qualities of the players that they have because they have kinds of quality.
But on top of that, the block, and the team spirit they have also allowed them to reach the semi-final”, he said.
The Ivorians lost by a lone goal to Nigeria in the second group match.
