Ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles Jose Peseiro is expected to announce the list of the invited players for the competition very soon.
The update coming from the office of the Nigeria Football Federation suggests that the team camp will open on the 2nd of January, 2024.
The reports also have it that the invited players are expected to start arriving from the 1st of January for preparation to start the following day.
The team camp remains Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates where they will also engage in a 3-team tournament before the competition proper.
Nigeria will slug it out with Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Ivory Coast in the group A of the tournament.
