To encourage and motivate the player, former Manchester United and France International Paul Pogba on Sunday stormed the camp of the Syli Stars of Guinea.
The team on Sunday arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to commence their preparation for the competition.
Pogba who is presently under investigation for doping violations was born in France to Guinean parents but chose to represent the Les Bleus in international football.
He told the players to put in effort and ensure that Guinea won the tournament for the first time in their history.
The Syli Stars is placed in group c alongside Cameroon, Senegal and Gambia.
