As Matchdays 3 and 4 of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier gets closer, the African soccer governing body has given member associations including Nigeria the deadline to submit the stadium they intend to use for their home matches, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.
Matchday 1 and 2 of the competition was held in June 2022 and Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured two wins to stay on top of its group.
The football body made the statement on Tuesday and confirmed that February 7th, 2023 will be the deadline for countries that taking part in the qualifier.
“Football associations must select their stadiums and notify CAF of the stadiums no later than February 7, 2023.
If a stadium in your country is not on the list of stadiums pre-approved by the CAF, a pre-inspection of your stadium must be carried out and the report sent to CAF no later than February 10.
We would like to emphasize that only high-level stadiums will be approved”, the statement said.
