Barely 48 hours to their second game, the Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF) announced the dismissal of coach Adel Amrouche as the coach of the national team.
The Belgian-Algerian technician is paying above all for the controversial remarks he made before the match against the Atlas Lions!
“ The Moroccan Football Federation is a proven power in the world of African football. Moreover, during the last match against Morocco, they forced us to play in the evening when we wanted to play in the early afternoon.
Currently, Morocco manages African football. They also choose their referees and we remain simple spectators,” said the coach in an interview.
As a result, the TFF simply decided to dismiss the technician with immediate effect! It is therefore with a new coach on the bench that the Taifa Stars will face Zambia on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the African soccer ruling body has imposed an 8-match suspension as well as a $10,000 fine on the 55-year-old coach.
