The draws for the 2023 Women’s Afrobasket championship were held late on Friday evening and D’Tigress have been placed in Group D.
The Nigerian women’s team qualified for this championship after winning it back-to-back.
According to the draw which was held on Friday in Maputo, Mozambique, D’Tigress will compete in Group D alongside Egypt and DR Congo.
Group A has the host Rwanda, Angola and the qualifying ticket for the 2+3 zones and Group B housed Cameroon, Mozambique and the selection that will have the “Wild Card” or the invitation is housed in Group B.
Group C consist of the 2015 champions Senegal, Mali and Uganda.
The 2023 AfroBasket Women will take place from July 23 to August 6 in Kigali Rwanda.
