2024 Olympics Qualifier: 8 Officials, 6 Super Falcons Players Arrive In Addis Ababa

Six players and eight officials of the Super Falcons have arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday.

The nine-time African champions departed the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopian capital on Sunday, October 22, 2023, for the 2024 Olympics Qualifiers first leg against Ethiopia.

The six players joined 8 officials and two staff of the Nigeria Football Federation and left the shore of Nigeria from the country’s capital.

The Nigeria Football Federation Head of Competition, Dayo Enebi revealed to www.bsnsports.com.ng in a chat on Monday afternoon that the Nigeria contingents have arrived in Addis Ababa.

“Six players, eight officials and two others who left Abuja on Sunday have arrived in Addis Ababa where other players will join them for the 2024 Olympics qualifier first leg game on Wednesday.” He said.

Barcelona Femeni forward, Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and other invited Super Falcons stars are expected to arrive in Addis Ababa, latest today (Monday), ahead of their Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Ethiopia on Wednesday.

The first leg of the second-round fixture in Addis Ababa is on Wednesday, 25th October, while the return leg in Abuja holds on Tuesday, 31st October.

18 foreign-based and four home-based players have been invited by the NFF for the two-legged game.

Having missed the last three editions, the Nigeria players are mobilised to beat the their African counterparts to boost their chances of qualifying for the next year’s Olympics Games in France.
