All seems not to be well in the camp of Mediterranean Knights of Libya ahead of the crucial day 4 clash against Nigeria.

After suffering a lone-goal defeat to Nigeria on day 3 of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier, the North Africans will host the Super Eagles in the second leg on Tuesday.

According to the update from Libya, the president of the country’s Football Association Abdulhakim Alshelmani on Sunday afternoon submitted his resignation letter.

Libya football experienced a turbulent time during his reign as they struggled to perform both at the club and national team levels.

Libya will host Nigeria at the Benina Stadium on Tuesday and another defeat means they are out of the 2025 AFCON competition.
