Despite scoring the winning goal against Libya, the interim coach of the Super Eagles, Austin Eguavoen, has refused to guarantee Fisayo Dele-Bashiru a starting lineup in the second leg.
The Lazio of Italy midfielder was the hero on day 3 of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Ahead of the second leg, Eguavoen has insisted that all the players are capable of starting the second leg.
” I don’t know if he is going to start the return leg.
” First we have to see how they react to the physio and medical team today.
” Everybody in that team, the 23 players are capable of starting the game”, he said.
Libya will host the Super Eagles at the Benina Stadium on Tuesday.
